RMD Takes Commercial Interiors to a New Level with Andersen James Group’s New Office that feels more like a 5 star hotel!
Rachel Moore Design (RMD), a Cheshire based, award winning interior design studio have completed this office transformation in the heart of Manchester’s developing central business district. RMD were excited to get creative with this project, implementing this office with a vibrant, fully equipped bar with draught beer, a relaxed seating area with ‘Rattan’ hanging chairs, a podcast room and a life sized company logo upon entering. RMD has taken office design to the next level creating one of the most stylish and desirable offices in Manchester.
James Leighton, founder of Andersen James Group, a property and construction recruitment company, contacted RMD in 2021 to design and create a new contemporary office premise needed for their expanding company. The new workplace was required to be of an attractive quality for the company, as it is not only a great place to work but also reflects the social, work and lifestyle of the company to new employees. The unique office qualities are part of a post pandemic shift in the workplace, placing importance on employees health and happiness and making the office a more enticing place to be. The space is alike to a 5 star hotel you would pay to stay at, but in fact these employees get to work here every day.
The reactions have been overwhelmingly positive towards the new aspirational office space after being shared on AJ’s and RMD’s growing social accounts, particularly ‘Instagram’ and ‘LinkedIn’. This new style of workplace is a shift in attracting workers back to the office post pandemic, prioritising social connections through breakout spaces, natural light through large windows and real plants to create calmness and healthy air, all part of improving the employees mental and physical wellbeing and in turn boosting productivity by creating a space where workers are reluctant to go home. The office turns into a social space at night where AJ holds events for staff and clients with guest DJ’s and mixologists at the bar.
