DB Regio AG

DB Regio AG is a wholly owned subsidiary of the Deutsche Bahn Group.

The strong growth in the S-Bahn (suburban railway) segment has seen the need for the construction of a new S-Bahn control centre at Munich’s Ostbahnhof station. DB Regio has moved into the new building as a tenant.

The aim of the redesign was to create a modern and agile working environment which also enabled DB Regio to implement its new working from home concept. The main items on the agenda were the reduction of conventional workstations, the introduction of a practical room booking system and the improvement of the communication zones.

office4you was on board as advisor and consultant for the special furnishings. Together with our long-term partner ASSMANN Büromöbel GmbH & Co. KG, we coordinated the complete implementation including delivery and assembly.

In line with DB’s strategy of being “more modern and greener,” a natural colour concept, a lot of wood and different plant elements provide green working landscapes and quiet seating areas. Individual wooden enclosures, as well as different wall and floor coverings were deliberately used in order to visually separate the zones from one another.
